Describe your own support need through Cougar Care
Cougar Care lists mental-health and basic-needs support across CBC locations. Its page links an assistance request and publishes an office email.
Use that route when asking the college for help identifying support. Describe the practical task and your campus: for example, finding a counseling contact while also resolving a transportation barrier. Ask what happens after the request reaches the office. A form asking for assistance is a starting point for that discussion, so check what has actually been arranged before treating it as an appointment with a therapist.

Ask which process applies when you are concerned about someone else
CBC’s CARE Team welcomes concerns from students, families and employees. Its described follow-up includes email and phone outreach to the student and information about resources.
Read the CARE Team page if your purpose is to raise a concern about another student. If it is unclear which form or contact applies, ask Cougar Care to direct you. Keep a concern referral separate from a personal request for assistance, and avoid assuming that either process books counseling. Ask the receiving office what follow-up you should expect without presuming you will be given another student’s appointment details.

Match a community contact to your actual location
The Mental Health Resources page lists community organizations with differing service areas and appointment contacts.
Before contacting an organization, check which location you could attend and what the listing says about its service area. Then ask that organization about current intake, eligibility and charges. A directory listing does not reserve a place or settle whether a particular service fits your situation. If the contact cannot help, tell Cougar Care which barrier you encountered so the next resource conversation can be more specific.

Leave the support conversation with named responsibilities
Cougar Care’s listed basic-needs areas include transportation and caregiving alongside mental-health support.
If those issues affect your ability to attend an appointment, explain the connection when discussing options. Ask whether the office will contact a resource or whether you should make the call. Track each task separately, especially when one request concerns counseling and another concerns getting to the visit. Keep contact details and unresolved questions together so you can give a clear update when the college follows up.

- What does it need before discussing an appointment?
- Who should I update if the proposed arrangement does not work?

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Request a Lyte appointmentConfirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
Does a Cougar Care assistance request book a counseling session?
The page presents it as a request for support. Ask the office what it has arranged and contact the receiving service to confirm any counseling appointment.

How can I choose among CBC’s community-resource contacts?
Use the location and service-area information as a starting point, then confirm current intake details directly with the organization. Ask Cougar Care for help if the listed options do not fit.
