Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Lyte Psychiatry website at lytepsych.com or our telehealth services ("Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Services Description
Lyte Psychiatry provides outpatient psychiatric and behavioral health services, including in-person care at our Pantego, TX clinic and telehealth services for patients located in Texas and New Mexico. Our providers are licensed in the states in which they practice.
2. Not an Emergency Service
Lyte Psychiatry is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, suicidal thoughts, or are in immediate danger, please:
- Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
- Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).
- Text "HELLO" to 741741 (Crisis Text Line).
3. Telehealth Consent
By scheduling a telehealth appointment, you acknowledge and consent to receiving healthcare services via electronic communication. You understand that:
- Telehealth is not appropriate for all conditions; your provider may determine an in-person visit is necessary.
- Technical failures can interrupt telehealth sessions.
- You are responsible for ensuring a private, appropriate environment during your session.
- You must be physically located in Texas or New Mexico at the time of your telehealth visit.
4. Appointment Policies
Cancellations and no-shows: We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to a fee as described in your patient intake agreement. Repeated no-shows may result in discharge from the practice.
Controlled substances: Prescriptions for controlled substances require in-person visits as required by federal and Texas state law. Lyte Psychiatry follows all DEA and Texas Medical Board guidelines regarding controlled substance prescribing.
5. Payments and Insurance
You are responsible for any co-pays, deductibles, or balances not covered by your insurance plan. We will submit claims to participating insurance carriers on your behalf; however, you are ultimately responsible for charges not covered by insurance. Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance.
