Start a support request with the resource-center intake link
COM’s Community Resource Center connects students to mental-health and practical support resources and links an intake form.
Begin at the current center page and read the instructions presented by the linked form. If the form cannot be opened, contact the center and ask how to make the request. Describe the task you need help with, such as finding a counseling contact while addressing a transportation obstacle. Keep a note of the submission date and any response instructions. The request itself does not establish an appointment with an outside provider.

Keep a CARE concern report separate from a resource appointment
COM describes CARE referrals as reports about a campus-community member’s well-being or safety. They are reviewed during normal business hours and are not an emergency route.
Read the CARE instructions when your purpose is reporting a concern about someone. If you are unsure whether you need that process or resource-center assistance, ask the relevant office before sending duplicate requests. Do not assume a concern report reserves an appointment for the person involved. For your own navigation meeting, continue to check its separate scheduling confirmation.

Confirm what the receiving organization needs from you
The Community Resource Center page organizes outside services by support category and lists organizations that students can contact.
At your navigation conversation, ask who makes the next call and what information the receiving service needs. Verify its current intake process, eligibility and charges directly. If a suggested contact cannot help, describe why when you return to the center for guidance. A directory entry may give you a starting point, but the receiving organization must explain the arrangements for its own service.
- Which organization should I contact first?
- Is another form or appointment required?
- Who should I update if the proposed contact does not work?

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Confirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
Is a COM resource-navigation appointment a counseling session?
COM describes that appointment as help navigating services. Confirm the meeting’s purpose and arrange any clinical appointment separately with the receiving provider.

Does a CARE referral replace the Community Resource Center intake?
They are different processes. CARE reports concerns about a community member, while the resource-center intake starts an assistance request. Ask the office which applies if you are unsure.
