Consider where you can actually attend when reviewing the available routes. If you choose a virtual option, ask the service about any location requirements before booking around travel. If you need an in-person visit, read the office directions and allow time to reach the appointment. The label on the booking route should match the appointment you intend to request.

Contact the counseling office when listed times do not fit
The FAQ directs students to call or email if the displayed appointment times do not work with their schedule. The Student Resources page publishes the counseling office’s contact details.
Explain the conflict and offer a few realistic windows rather than selecting a time you already know you cannot attend. Ask whether the office can discuss another arrangement and how it will confirm the result. Keep track of any booking you already made so the office can tell you whether it needs to be changed or canceled. A request for another time is not confirmation that it can be offered.

Confirm the office location or virtual joining instructions
The Student Resources page locates counseling in Health Services outside Jennings Hall. Counseling visits are arranged by appointment.
For an in-person visit, confirm the entrance and arrival instructions with the office if the location is unfamiliar. For a virtual appointment, check how and when the joining details will arrive. Verify the counselor, date and format in the final confirmation, especially if you discussed alternatives by email. If anything conflicts, ask the office to resolve it before relying on an older message or calendar entry.

Clarify the handoff for longer-term or medication-related care
Howard Payne describes referral assistance for longer-term care and medication management.
Ask what the suggested practice needs before its first appointment, who makes the initial contact and whether any records should be requested. Confirm its charges and scheduling directly. If you already receive care elsewhere, explain that situation to the clinicians involved and ask how they want information coordinated. An outside referral gives you a contact or next step; check what has actually been arranged before assuming a new office has taken over.

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
