Tell the Student Counseling Center which route you are requesting
MCC lets students contact the center or start with its linked intake paperwork. Students interested in BetterMynd can select that option on intake; staff then explain the next steps.
Before submitting, identify whether you want campus counseling or the virtual platform route. Keep any confirmation and watch for the center’s next instruction. If you study through a University Center partner, state that enrollment arrangement and ask which services apply. Do not infer platform eligibility from a partner’s campus-counseling reference. Ask the center to resolve that question before relying on an account or scheduling link.

Check the age requirement for the chosen service
MCC’s BetterMynd FAQ excludes students under eighteen from that platform and identifies campus counseling as an option beginning at seventeen.
If you are seventeen, contact the Student Counseling Center about the campus route instead of repeatedly trying to enroll in BetterMynd. If you are eligible for the platform, ask how your account and appointment access will be activated after intake. For either route, bring up any practical scheduling or technology problem with the center. A general service description does not confirm your particular appointment.

Discuss an additional-credit request with your BetterMynd therapist
The college says a BetterMynd therapist can submit a release of information to MCC when requesting additional credits. It states that these requests must come from the therapist and depend on counseling need and the college’s available allocation.
Raise the question with the therapist before your current credits are exhausted. Ask what permission is needed, when the request will be sent and how you will learn the outcome. Keep the submitted request distinct from an approval. If the request is not approved or another service is recommended, ask what administrative step you should take next rather than assuming more platform visits have been added.

Request records and plan an outside-care handoff
MCC publishes a written records-request route through the counselor or front office. Its individual-counseling page also describes outside referrals when longer support is needed or campus eligibility ends.
Ask the receiving office which records it needs and verify its destination before requesting a transfer. Check with MCC about the form and method appropriate to your request, then confirm receipt with the receiving office. Keep any new appointment booking separate from the records task; one can remain unfinished while the other is complete.

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Request a Lyte appointmentConfirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
Can I request extra MCC BetterMynd credits directly?
MCC’s FAQ says the additional-credit request must be submitted by the BetterMynd therapist. Discuss it with that therapist; a request does not guarantee approval.
