Start with the mental-health consultation request
Paul Quinn directs currently enrolled students to the counseling office at 214-379-5426 or the consultation form on its Personal Services page. The form has name, email, phone and request fields.
Use contact details you can monitor, and make the purpose of your inquiry clear. For example, explain that you want to discuss a first appointment or need help identifying another resource. Ask the office where to provide any detailed records it requests. Keep the request date and watch for instructions about the next conversation. Sending an inquiry and receiving an appointment confirmation are separate steps.
Explain an outside-Texas location before relying on campus service
The clinic’s published eligibility includes being physically in Texas. Students outside Texas are directed to the same phone or form to discuss alternate resources.
Tell the counselor where you are now and whether your location will change during a break, internship or trip. Ask what contact to use while you are away and what to do when you return. If you already have an appointment, confirm the plan before the travel dates. Keep any alternative resource’s contact information accessible, along with the question you still need that organization to answer.
Turn a suggested option into a specific next step
Once the office responds, ask who is responsible for arranging the next appointment. Check whether you should expect a campus appointment, contact another organization yourself, or wait for further instructions.
Write down the service you are seeking, the receiving office and any remaining intake requirement. Confirm the proposed date and format with the office providing the visit. If the option does not fit your location or schedule, explain that obstacle to the counselor. When you already receive care elsewhere, ask the relevant offices what coordination is appropriate and how information should be shared; do not assume a new inquiry changes an existing care arrangement.
Use the right contact for records and benefit questions
The Personal Services page has a separate medical-record section about enrollment vaccination documents and a contact for student health-plan questions.
Ask the counseling office for its instructions if a clinician needs counseling records. Check the purpose of a submission address before using it, rather than treating the enrollment-document address as a general clinical-records inbox. For a benefit question, identify the particular service and provider when contacting the listed plan representative. Ask the receiving provider about its own intake and charges as well. Keep those answers separate from the appointment confirmation so an unresolved administrative question remains visible.
Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Request a Lyte appointmentConfirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
What should I ask Paul Quinn when I will be outside Texas?
Explain the location and dates and ask the counselor about alternate resources. Confirm any change to a planned appointment before relying on it.
Should I send counseling records to the enrollment medical-record address?
First ask the counseling office which process applies. The page’s enrollment-record section concerns vaccination documents, so confirm the correct recipient and delivery method for counseling information.
Sources and verification
The institution sources below support the campus information in this guide. Resource descriptions are not live appointment inventory. Verify current requirements directly with the relevant service.
