Identify the enrollment category before selecting a service
The RELLIS counseling page separates students taking junior- and senior-level courses from Blinn students in freshman- and sophomore-level courses. Its Health Services page also routes students according to enrollment.
Look at the institution and course level on your current schedule. If you are in a transition term or taking courses through more than one institution, ask RELLIS student services which route applies. State the institutions and dates rather than assuming that a campus address proves eligibility. This is particularly useful when moving from Blinn coursework into a university partner’s upper-division program.

Prepare for the Family Care first appointment
For upper-division students, RELLIS directs requests to Texas A&M Health Family Care. It tells students to identify themselves as currently enrolled upper-division RELLIS students, have their student ID and any insurance card ready, and first arrange a primary care appointment.
Use those instructions when asking the clinic what intake is needed. Confirm the appointment type, documents, location and charge rather than assuming the first booking is directly with a mental health specialist. If you already receive care elsewhere, ask the clinic what records to obtain and how the request will be assessed. The published pathway does not establish acceptance of a specific treatment or prescription.

Follow Blinn’s own counseling route for lower-division enrollment
For Blinn students at RELLIS, the Academic Alliance links Blinn Counseling Services. Use that institution’s instructions rather than booking a university service solely because it is geographically nearby.
Tell the Blinn office that you attend classes at RELLIS and ask which appointment options and intake steps apply. Confirm where the visit will occur and how you will receive the appointment response. If you will soon start upper-division classes, ask about the handoff early enough to identify the next office. Do not assume that a Blinn counseling relationship or its records automatically moves into the university partner’s system.

Recheck access when your enrollment changes
RELLIS also describes TELUS Health Student Support for students enrolled at Texas A&M System universities. That statement should be read in the context of your actual institution, rather than extended automatically to every person taking a class at RELLIS.
Before a transfer term, list the old and new enrollment dates, program contacts and any appointment already arranged. Ask the relevant institution whether your existing service continues and which app or portal account you should use. For an outside referral, confirm its costs and booking independently. Keeping the enrollment question separate from insurance verification helps prevent an active insurance card from being mistaken for campus-service eligibility.

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Request a Lyte appointmentConfirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
Does studying at RELLIS automatically give me the College Station student clinic route?
Use the RELLIS directions for your enrollment category. The Academic Alliance lists Family Care for upper-division students and Blinn Counseling Services for Blinn students; a shared campus or system name should not replace that eligibility check.
What should I have ready when contacting Family Care?
RELLIS asks upper-division students to identify their current status and have their RELLIS student ID and any insurance card ready. Ask the clinic to confirm the required primary care intake and the charge for your appointment.
