TLU’s Counseling Services page directs students to call or visit the Health and Wellness Center and lists scheduling through MyTLU.
Begin with that page if you are trying to meet with campus counseling. Identify whether you are arranging a first appointment or changing an existing visit. If the portal is inaccessible, explain the access problem to the office and ask how to proceed. Before arranging transportation or missing class, check the actual appointment confirmation and any instructions the center provides.

Follow the separate TLUCare sign-in instructions
The Health and Wellness page describes TLUCare access with TLU credentials and a mental-health-care selection within its provider options.
Follow the current link from TLU instead of relying on an old app bookmark. Check the service and appointment format named in the response. If you also contact campus counseling, keep a note of which office is handling each request. Ask TLUCare about your eligibility and visit location before arranging a session away from school; a working login does not answer every appointment question.
Ask the counseling director about the psychiatry option
TLU says students interested in the psychiatry option offered through the university and TLUCare must speak with the Director of Counseling and Accommodation Services.
Use the director contact on the official page and state that you want to understand that process. Ask whether another appointment or referral step comes first, who schedules the next visit and which office explains charges. Keep this inquiry separate from assuming that a general counseling appointment includes medication services. Any decision about medication belongs with the clinician responsible for that care.

Clarify community arrangements and expenses separately
The counseling page discusses community arrangements for longer-term or specialty care and local medical professionals for medication management. The wellness page identifies prescription and related follow-up expenses separately from its service description.
If you receive an outside contact, ask who makes the first call and whether records are needed. Check the receiving office’s appointment terms and costs directly. If a discount card is mentioned, ask how it would apply to the specific purchase; do not treat it as confirmation of insurance coverage. Bring unresolved billing questions to the office handling that service.

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
