Trinity describes the initial consultation as the first Counseling Services appointment of the academic year.
If you attended in a previous year, ask whether you should use the current year’s initial-consultation route. If you have already attended this year, tell the office you need a follow-up. Have your class commitments available when discussing a time, but let the office resolve the appointment category instead of opening several requests for the same visit.

Use the online route only when all five conditions apply
Online scheduling is for that initial consultation when you have no counselor preference, want an in-person visit, are at least 18 and are signed into your computer with Trinity credentials.
Work through the entire set before opening the linked scheduler. A student who meets the age requirement but needs a virtual appointment still needs the office route. If you are unsure whether your computer sign-in meets the requirement, ask for help with scheduling. Repeated login attempts do not resolve a mismatch between the appointment you need and the online calendar.

Contact the office for a different format or appointment type
The appointments page lists phone, email and office contact options for requests outside the online criteria, including follow-ups, virtual visits, younger students and a counselor preference.
Describe the administrative issue briefly: for example, that you need a follow-up or cannot use the online sign-in. Ask how the appointment will be confirmed and whether any forms are due. You can discuss what information the office needs without placing your full personal history in an initial scheduling message. If a requested format or counselor cannot be arranged, ask what choices are available before selecting a different visit.

Keep TigerCare Live account setup separate from campus scheduling

Start from the university’s current instructions if you want to explore that service. Check which service sent each confirmation so that you know where to log in or whom to contact about a change. Before booking around travel, ask the service whether it can see you at the location where you will be. Account access alone does not settle the format, clinician or location of a particular appointment.

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
