Psychiatry & therapy for UT Arlington students
This one is personal: our clinic sits in Pantego, about ten minutes from the UTA campus. Mavericks are the only student body in Texas that can walk out of a Tuesday lecture and into a same-week, in-person psychiatric evaluation with us without crossing a single highway. UTA's mix of commuters, working adults, and international students produces every kind of scheduling problem, and we have hours for all of them.
When campus counseling runs out of sessions
UTA CAPS is the right on-campus starting point, and its team knows the commuter reality. When you need a prescriber, longer-term therapy, or care that will still be there after you graduate into a Dallas job, we are the local practice, not a platform. In person or video, your pick, visit by visit.
Campus resource: UTA Counseling and Psychological Services. If you are in crisis right now, call or text 988 any time.
Insurance, for students and the parents reading this
Parents' plans, employer coverage from students' own full-time jobs, and the UT System student plan all come through here. In-network with BlueCross, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Aetna. Benefits verified before your first visit.

Take the free 2-minute depression screen or anxiety screen, the same instruments we score at every visit. You can also read about mental health care in Arlington or our broader college student care.
In person near campus, or by video
Most new patients are seen within 1 to 2 business days. Most insured students pay a $0 to $30 copay. Care continues through breaks and past graduation.
