Ask the center which published criteria apply to your request
The ordinary-counseling criteria include current-semester enrollment, being over 18, physical presence in Texas and no current outside counselor. The screening description separately refers to all students.
Ask the center to clarify your age, program or existing-care situation before relying on either route. Do not assume the two appointment types have identical eligibility. If you already work with a counselor, explain that and discuss any care changes with the clinician involved rather than changing established care to fit website wording. Ask what referral help the center can offer if the standard appointment is not the appropriate route.

Select New Client and use your VC student email
Victoria’s TherapyAppointment instructions tell new clients to select New Client, register with their VC email and create their own account credentials.
Start from the official counseling page and make sure you can access the school mailbox. Keep control of your account if someone helps you with setup. If sign-in fails or the appointment choices are unclear, contact the center for guidance. Check the confirmation for the visit format and current location before traveling, especially if you previously saw directions in an older event notice.

Choose the separate screening option only for that appointment
The page lists Mental Health Screening as a one-time, 30-minute option and asks students to arrive 15 minutes early for its questionnaire.
If that is the appointment you discussed with the center, use the corresponding selection and plan around both the appointment and advance arrival time. Confirm where to go and ask how to handle any incomplete questionnaire. Let the clinician explain the screening and its next steps; the calendar label alone should not be treated as a diagnosis or as confirmation of an ongoing counseling arrangement.

Ask for referral help and check the receiving practice separately
Victoria offers referral consultation and states that students are responsible for costs incurred with outside referrals.
If you need an outside contact, including when leaving college, ask who should make the first call and what information is needed. Check the receiving practice’s current appointment terms and charges before relying on a recommendation. If records are requested, ask both offices about permission and delivery. Keep that process separate from the campus booking so you know which appointment or document request still needs follow-up.

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Request a Lyte appointmentConfirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
