Choose the counseling contact for your campus
WCJC’s counseling page directs appointment requests to its central counseling email or the listed campus counselor. It describes in-person and virtual formats and notes that outside-referral costs remain the student’s responsibility.
State which campus you attend and ask for the appointment format you can use. If you also need academic accommodations, mention that there is a separate administrative task to complete. Confirm the time, location or virtual instructions for counseling. For an outside recommendation, ask the receiving organization about its intake and charges directly instead of assuming the campus service arrangement extends to it.

Complete the disability-services application and documentation step
The disability-services page begins with class registration, an application and documentation. The office then confirms the documentation and contacts the student to arrange an ADA intake and orientation meeting.
Use the current application and documentation guidelines linked by WCJC. Ask the office what is missing if you are unsure whether the file is complete. When requesting information from a clinician, provide the school’s actual instructions and ask the clinician what can be supplied. A diagnosis or an appointment at a practice does not itself establish that a particular accommodation will be approved.

Use the intake meeting to clarify the requested academic access
WCJC describes an in-person or virtual intake meeting to discuss documentation and allowable accommodations. If approved, the college sends an eligibility letter to the student’s WCJC email.
Prepare specific questions about the course activities that are difficult to access and the process for implementing an approved arrangement. Ask how the decision will be communicated and who to contact if your letter does not appear. Keep the college’s decision separate from the clinician’s documentation; the college office owns its review and the letter it issues.

Review course-specific letters each semester
WCJC says approved accommodations are sent out automatically each semester until graduation, while course-specific letters need review with instructors. Requests to modify accommodations go back to Disability Services.
Check the letters against your current courses and ask the office how to handle a missing course, changed schedule or modification request. Review the approved arrangements with each instructor as directed. Keep a note of unresolved implementation questions and bring them to Disability Services rather than assuming a counseling appointment changed the academic letter.
- Application submitted and documentation status confirmed.
- ADA intake arranged and attended.
- Approval letter received in the WCJC email account, if approved.
- Current course letters reviewed and any changes referred to Disability Services.

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Request a Lyte appointmentConfirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
Do I need to request a new WCJC accommodation letter from scratch every semester?
WCJC says approved accommodations are sent out automatically, but course-specific letters must be reviewed with instructors each semester. Ask Disability Services about missing letters or changes.

Does a counseling appointment complete my WCJC disability-services application?
The college publishes a separate application, documentation and intake sequence for accommodations. Confirm those steps with Disability Services even if you are also attending counseling.
