Stress and depression are very related and can easily be misdiagnose. Stress can contribute to the development of depression and make existing depression worse. Stressful life events, such as the loss of a loved one, job loss, or financial problems, can trigger depression. Chronic stress, such as living in a high-stress environment or experiencing ongoing stress at work, can also lead to the development of depression. Additionally, people with depression often have difficulty coping with stress, which can lead to a cycle of depression and stress.
The signs and symptoms of depression can vary from person to person, but some common ones include:
Persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness
Loss of interest or pleasure in activities that were once enjoyed
Changes in appetite and weight (either weight loss or gain)
Difficulty sleeping or oversleeping
Physical slowing or agitation
Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
Feelings of worthlessness or guilt
It is important to note that these symptoms of sadness should last for at least two weeks before making a diagnosis of depression. If you think you may be experiencing depression, it is important to talk to a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and treatment options. If you loved this article and you also would like to collect more info relating to it, kindly click to find out more please visit the site https://www.lytepsych.com/
