Telehealth Psychiatry in Texas β What You Need to Know
Texas has embraced telehealth psychiatry as a legitimate and effective care modality. Under Texas law, providers licensed in Texas can deliver psychiatric care via secure video to any patient located within the state β no matter how rural or remote their location.
Lyte Psychiatry's telehealth appointments are HIPAA-compliant, conducted via encrypted video, and covered by most major insurance plans β including BlueCross BlueShield of Texas, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Humana, Ambetter, and Magellan Health. A referral is not required.
Our board-certified psychiatrists can evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe psychiatric medication via telehealth for most conditions β including depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, and sleep disorders. Controlled substances are prescribed in accordance with Texas and DEA regulations.
For patients in the DallasβFort Worth area, in-person appointments are also available at our Pantego clinic (2900 W Park Row Dr, Pantego TX 76013) and our Plano location. Most patients β telehealth or in-person β are seen within the same week.
