Will antidepressants change my personality?
Antidepressants are intended to treat symptoms, but some people report feeling emotionally flat or unlike themselves during treatment. That experience deserves a discussion rather than being dismissed as the expected goal.

Describe what feels different and when it started. Depression itself and treatment effects may be difficult to separate. Your prescriber can reassess the plan, but a dose change or switch cannot be promised to resolve the problem within a particular time. Do not stop abruptly on your own.
