For the spouse holding it all together
Most first calls we get from a military family come from a spouse, often during a deployment, usually about themselves last. Solo parenting through a nine month deployment, restarting a career after every move, and managing a household on one set of hands is a mental health load, not a character test. Your care belongs to you: it is covered under TRICARE, it never routes through your service member\u2019s command, and it can happen by video during nap time.

Questions military families ask us
Does Lyte Psychiatry take TRICARE?
Yes, we are in network with TRICARE, and for family members the visit cost is often zero. Plans differ on referral rules, so send us your plan type and who the appointment is for, and we verify everything before you book.
Can active duty service members be seen here?
Yes, with a referral for civilian network care, which usually starts with a request through your military treatment facility or the regional TRICARE contractor. We can walk you through asking for one. Spouses and children usually do not need anything that formal.
Will our care survive a PCS?
If the move keeps you inside Texas, yes, and this is the main reason military families choose us. Our providers are licensed in Texas, so a move from Fort Cavazos to Fort Bliss changes your pharmacy address and nothing else. Same provider, same treatment plan, no new intake.
Is what my spouse or teen says in therapy visible to my command?
No. A family member’s care belongs to them and is protected by the same privacy law as any civilian’s. For active duty members there are narrow, duty related exceptions that exist across military medicine, and we explain exactly where those lines sit before care starts, not after.
